SunshineAndShade non-profit exists to support adoptive families, early childhood education, and community care—believing in the power of a faithful YES. By providing grants, resources, and compassionate support, we partner with families and communities to create environments where children are loved, supported, and able to flourish.

What We Do
The Church is not a building; it is a body. We are called to be the hands and feet, and to reach those who need to see the goodness and light of God. To partner with those God has asked, and equip them with the resources they need to finalize adoption. We love our community, and make it our mission to help out where we can, from holidays to snow tires. Adoption Grants
Our Main Mission
We support waiting families who are called to adoption and faithfully stepping into God’s design for their families. Through grants, we help remove financial barriers so they can say YES and finalize their adoptions. It is our honor to walk alongside these families, stewarding generosity to help fulfill what God has placed on their hearts.
Outreach
Seasonal Giving
​Through seasonal outreach such as back-to-school support and Christmas giving, we seek to be the hands and feet of Jesus, meeting practical needs with compassion and dignity. This ministry invites believers to walk in obedience and generosity, serving families during meaningful seasons with love, encouragement, and hope.
Education
Heart For Children
We invest in early childhood education with resources that equip classrooms, caregivers, and families to foster love and learning. By faithfully stewarding resources, we help lay strong foundations where children can grow, learn, and flourish according to God’s design.

Immediate Needs
Our community ministry exists to respond with prayerful compassion to families facing immediate needs and unexpected hardships. As the Church in action, we desire to walk alongside our local community in obedience—offering tangible support, faithful generosity, and the love of Christ in moments that matter most.

What Adoptive Families Pay For
Before a family can say YES, provision must be in place.
Birth Mom Resources
$17,000+
Adoptive families commit to providing birth mothers with cost of living for food, housing, clothing, medical care, and transportation and more — providing dignity and care throughout pregnancy.
Legal Fees
$17,000+
Covers required legal representation, court filings, and compliance processes that protect the rights of the child, the birth mother, and the adoptive family. These services ensure the adoption is ethical, lawful, and completed with care, clarity, and accountability at every step.
Agency Fees
$25,000+
Licensed agencies provide an abundance of services and counseling to birth moms, matching of the adoptive families, and oversight, and are legally required in many states. They also conduct the proper Home Study process to certify a family to adopt and provide training for adoptive families.
Travel
$11,000+
Many domestic adoptions are done around the United States, asking adoptive families to travel. State-to-state laws change on how many days a family must stay in a state until they are allowed to cross state borders and go home. While awaiting approval to travel, families incure often signficant travel fees for airlines and hotels.

When families are called to adopt, provision must be in place. Your generosity helps remove financial barriers, allowing families to walk in obedience and bring children home.
